Dr. Satish Kumar Jain is a surgeon par excellence having performed 1,50,000 + ENT surgeries in an illustrious career spanning over two decades. He performs the full spectrum of ENT & head-neck surgeries and is renowned for removing even the most advanced stage tumours Endoscopically through the Nose and Ear. Dr. Satish has done pioneering work in the development Endoscopic & Microscopic Skull Base surgery in the country and has developedmany new surgical procedures.

He has done revolutionary work in the treatment of Angio-fibroma (bleeding tumour of the nose), developed Interlay technique of Tympanoplasty surgery (for closing ear drum perforations), developed convergent approach to identification of facial nerve in parotid surgery & developed newer concepts in the management of Allergic sinus diseases to name a few.

A role model in his fraternity, he has an award instituted in his name “Dr. Satish Jain Gold Medal” to be given for the best surgical videos on Endoscopic Sinus Surgery. Dr. Jain is also passionate towards teaching & has trained 500 surgeons till date (including 200 from abroad). He is regularly invited as chief operating surgeon & trainer at surgical training workshops across the globe.

Dr Satish has also initiated Cochlear implant programme in Rajasthan that has till date saved hundreds of children from debilitating growth retardation by timely restoration of their hearing ability

    • The title must be in brief concise and in capital letters
    • Abstract title limit is 20 words
    • Authors- please enter your name and your colleagues name
    • The abstract text should have a minimum of 200 words and maximumof 400 words
    • The scientific committee receives the rights to redact any submission
    • Don’t use any references keywords and abbreviations

ABOUT BATHINDA AND ITS ATTRACTIONS

    Bathinda also known as Tabar-e-Hind or Tabarhind meaning the gateway to India is a city Municipal Corporation in Southern Part of Punjab, India.

    It is one of the oldest and fifth largest city of Punjab. Bathinda nicknamed as the city of lakes courtesy of the artificial lakes in the city, The First empress of India, Razia Sultana was imprisoned in the 21 mubarak fort in Bathinda. The Gurudwara of Mazaar of Hazi Rattan is a popular tourist Centre of Bathinda

    Bathinda is a home of Central University of Punjab, MRSPTU and AIIMS.

    Bathinda has two modern Thermal Power plants, Guru Nanak Dev Thermal Plant & Guru Hargobind Thermal Plant at Lehra Mohabbat.

    The city has a fertilizer plant, a large oil refinery bathinda also has two cement plants, Ambuja Cement & Ultratech cement limited. A Zoo and Historic Qila Mubarak a fort is also the attraction. Bathinda is one of the largest food grain & cotton markets in Northern India. It is one of the leading cities in education in Punjab.


    Rose Garden: A Popular tourist weekend destination at Bathinda stretched over an area of 40000 sq. meters, This Garden blooms in all colours of Roses during winter. Appu garden is kids attraction and fountain makes garden more beautiful.

    Chetak Park: Picnic spot which has a garden and lake. This park also offers boating, horse riding facilities.

    Chill-O-Thrill Water Park: This water park is located in Bhucho Khurd, Near Adesh University. This is the nice place for fun with family and is top tourist attraction because of thrilling water rides & water sports during hot summer months.

    Qila Mubarak: A historical monument in the heart of Bathinda. It is recognized as monument of National importance & maintained by archaeological survey of India.

    Gurudwara Sri Hazi Ratan Sahib: At this place Faquir Hazzi Ratan used to meditate. The first Sikh Guru Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji visited this place during his first udasi (Preaching tour). Sri Hargobind Sahib Ji & Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji visited Bathinda.

    Takht Sri Damdama Sahib: This is one of the Takhat amongst five. A religious & peaceful place for worship. 300 Years old historical Gurudwara. The Baisakhi festival is hugely celebrated at Damdama Sahib & Sikh Pilgrims from various parts of the world gather here to pay homage to Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

    Bir Talab Zoo: Zoo which is spread in 5km area. Where you can see some birds species & some animals like Lion, Dear & Barahsingha.

    Temple Maisar Khana: Maisar Khana is a Temple to honour the Goddesses Durga & Jawala Ji, Each year two grand Melas (Fairs) are held here on Ashtmi.
